The snazziest July 4th wreath.

Want to dress your door with the prettiest wreath this summer? Let me show you step by step how to add holiday flair while on a budget.

For this project you will need the following supplies.

  • 14″ Dollar Tree Wreath
  • Decorative items based on theme
  • Ribbon (Cut at 10 inches long) roughly 16 yards – couple of different pattern variations
  • Pipe cleaners (any color based on theme)
  • Glue gun
  • Pliers

Once you have cut the ribbon the appropriate size (roughly ten inches long) take three pieces of ribbon and scrunch in middle, overlaying on top of each other at different angles. Use pipe cleaner to bind in middle.

Once ribbon is binded in the middle take ends of pipe cleaner and twist and lock down in section of wreath where the bar meets the center in six places. It should look like this.

Continue this process until you get one side of your wreath full. You can adjust and fluff accordingly while working your way around to fill in gaps. Make sure to twist the pipe cleaners as tight as you can around the frame of wreath for stability.

Once you get the ribbon bows all the way around, add your embellishments with hot glue to secure in between pipe cleaners and bars of wreath.

See finished wreath below. Depending on how elaborate you want to decorate and if adding wood plaques or ornaments make sure to secure to wreath where it won’t move.

This wreath can be made for any occasion and has unique as you like. Happy crafting!
