Best Tie Dye Kit

Everywhere you turn Tie Dye has come back from the 60’s with a vengeance. The current hottest trend to hit your favorite boutique or local Walmart and Target. With so many variations and DIY kits its a craft your whole family and friends will enjoy. This summer to add some fun to our weekend adventures we decided to make our own family tie dye shirts with this amazing kit.

Your local craft store has all the products you need from the do it yourself kit and the shirts for your funky do it yourself tie dye party.

List of items you will need ~

  • Tulip One Step Tie Dye Party Kit – (Supplies for 6 people/123 pieces total/36 projects) – This kit is perfect for parties, summer activities, school events and summer camps. Dye’s are machine/wash safe and colors stay vibrant even after repeated wash.
  • Contents include: Rubber bands, gloves, surface cover, instruction sheet, storage tub and fourteen dye colors to play with.
  • Variation of white tank tops, shirts or other garments you want to tie dye.
  • Workable space to have fun and tie dye.
  • Gallon Ziplock Bags
  • Bucket/Bowl to house shirts for 6-8 hours

Cover your working area with the surface cover provided. Take each individual item that you are working with and rubber band according to instruction guide. (Lists several different unique techniques)

Rubber band shirts in sections. Select colors wanting to use and fill with water up to applicable line. Shake well to incorporate dye.

Begin applying dye to sections of shirt based on color preference or design.

Once you complete the color scheme put shirt in zip lock bag. Continue until you have completed all items.

Once items have sat for 6-8 hours or longer based on vibrancy, remove rubber bands and wash with cold water in sink or tub.

Ring out until color no longer bleeds. Complete with all garments you have tie dyed. Wash in washing machine use small amount of laundry detergent, allow to hang dry. Once dried your ready to party with your new cool tie dye family shirts!!
