Homemade Chili

Cool weather and some football calls for a warm bowl of chili and some cornbread. I’ve perfected this dish over the years so it’s one for the books. 

Ingredients
4 TBSP Olive Oil or Bacon Fat
1 yellow onion diced
1 red pepper diced
1 green pepper diced
1 jalapeño diced
4 TBSP minced garlic
1 1/2 pds lean ground beef
1 1/2 pds Turkey
1 lb diced sausage
1/4 C Worcestershire sauce 
1 TSP garlic powder
1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes 
1 14.5 oz of fire roasted 
1 12 oz tomato paste
1/2 C fruity red wine
2 TBSP Chili powder
2 TBSP Cumin powder
2 TBSP brown sugar
2 TBSP BBQ seasoning 
2 1/2 TSP Basil, 1 1/2 TSP smoked paprika, 1/2 TSP oregano, 1 TSP salt and pepper.
2 16 oz cans of Kidney Beans or dried soaked and cooked
2 16 oz cans of black beans
2 16 oz cans of pinto beans 
2 16 oz cans of white beans 
3 TBSP cilantro chopped
Garnish: Sour cream, cheese, jalapeño slices.
